Kaden Honeycutt won Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Chase presented by Mobil 1 race at Kansas Speedway — the second race in the seven-event battle for the 2026 championship.
It’s the third win for the driver of the No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota, who unofficially assumed the championship lead at the 1.5-mile oval and now holds a 37-point advantage over No. 1 seed Layne Riggs. Honeycutt swept both stages and led a dominant 111 laps enroute to the checkered flag.
Christian Eckes, Brent Crews, Daniel Hemric and Ben Rhodes completed the top five. Chandler Smith, Nick Leitz, Tanner Gray, Jake Garcia and Corey LaJoie rounded out the top 10.
After a mistake on pit road before the rain delay, Riggs rallied and battled Honeycutt for the victory in the closing laps, but the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford driver got in the wall with two laps to go and had a tire go down.
Layne Riggs plummeted down the leaderboard and was scored with a 19th-place finish Saturday evening. It’s the second consecutive finish outside the top 15 to start The Chase for Riggs.
The Craftsman Truck Series will return to action Friday, Oct. 9 for race No. 3 of The Chase at Charlotte Motor Speedway (5 p.m. ET, FOX, NASCAR Racing Network Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
